Researches health of ocean and impact of human activity in Oregon-Washington coastal margins, where Columbia River meets Pacific Ocean. CMOP supports student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines and careers in coastal margin research.


COSEE Pacific Partnerships

COSEE Pacific Partnerships is a regional collaboration among members of the Western Association of Marine Laboratories, Pacific community colleges, and informal science education institutions that seek to integrate marine research and education for audiences with limited access to understanding the ocean.


Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators

NAME is a family of educators passionate about oceans and watersheds that believes in the magic of the world of water and its ability to facilitate learning. Members: teachers, informal science educators, environmental educators, students from many locations in the Pacific Northwest. NAME is a regional chapter of the National Marine Educators Association.


Ocean Inquiry Project

OIP is a non-profit organization educating students, teachers, community through scientific inquiry about Puget Sound. OIP cruise participants become scientific partners by collecting research-quality data, contributing to long-term ocean observing databases.


Oregon Sea Grant

Oregon Sea Grant develops and supports an integrated program of research, outreach, and education that help people understand, rationally use, and conserve marine and coastal resources. Our activities respond to the needs of ocean users and act to stimulate the Oregon economy.


South Slough

Natural 4,771 acres in the Coos estuary on the south coast of Oregon, a network of estuarine habitats protected and managed for the purposes of long-term research, education, and coastal stewardship to enhance scientific and public understanding of estuaries, and contribute to improved estuarine management.


Washington Sea GrantŐs Washington on Water (WOW)

Washington on Water (WOW) is an online database for K-12 educators seeking marine education resources throughout Washington - from interior watersheds to the outer coast. Regularly updated and evolving, WOW brings together educators, scientists, industry, government and nonprofit organizations to improve marine science literacy.
