The reforecast climatology of chlorophyll concentration (integrated over the surface 10 m) highlights the seasonal cycle of high chlorophyll in the summer and low in winter months.
April-initialized model reforecast climatology spanning 2009 - 2017 for chlorophyll (mg/l) integrated over the surface 10 meters of the model domain. Each panel details a two month average; some months are omitted due to low sample size. The 200 meter isobath (the shelf break) is highlighted for reference.
